From 1 July 2020, the mandatory requirement to have ads for Therapeutic Goods approved by a government appointed body will cease.
This means that if you’re advertising therapeutic goods on TV, radio, in magazines, newspapers, cinema and outdoor, you will need to ensure your ad complies with the regulatory requirements for advertising therapeutic goods.

We’re excited to announce that from 1 July 2020, to assist you with these new requirements, we will be offering a Therapeutic Goods Review Service that will help you ensure your ad complies with all advertising requirements, including therapeutic goods advertising, consumer law requirements, classification and more.

Our online application system, Oasis, will allow you to simply apply for the TGR Service in the same way you apply for a ClearAds approval across our other services. You’ll still receive our efficient 2 day Standard turnaround and the option for a 1 day Priority turnaround or a 3 hour Red Hot service for Minor Revision (Tag) applications.
We understand the complexities around the Therapeutic Goods Advertising rules as we have been reviewing ads for therapeutic devices, a category of therapeutic goods, for many, many years.
